Texts & numbering
The columns correspond by psalm, or by the eight-verse sections of Psalm 119. Verse numbers belong to each edition; lines across the columns are not individual verse matches. Hebrew superscriptions are retained.
English: the American 1928 Book of Common Prayer, from Charles Wohlers’s transcription. Hebrew: the Westminster Leningrad Codex, via the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible. The Hebrew text retains vowel points and cantillation; ketiv is retained and qere readings appear in square brackets. Morphological markup and editorial apparatus are omitted. Both underlying texts are public domain.
The 1928 monthly assignments govern both columns. Day 31 repeats day 30; February ends on its actual last day, and each month starts again at day 1.
